The menu online gave me high expectations. The queso & rice was cold. My food was not seasoned at all. Service was poor. You could tell they wasn’t use to getting customer, we was treated as if we wasn’t there. We was the only ones there so it was kind confusing on how you could forget about us. Just don’t waste your time.
Very nice little change of pace spot. Their Shrimp LaPalma is a truly outstanding dish (and at a nice price). Inside or Patio dining makes this a unique and friendly campus-side eatery.
Great food really delicious!!! Great service!
From the food since the service, everything there is awesome. The best Thai food in town.If you want to experience new and good flavors this is the right place. I got shocked by the taste of the coconut soup, no words.
First that staff are amazingly helpful and friendly and the service was super fast! I had a chicken quesadilla which was phenomenal... chicken was juicy and seasoned perfect with vegetables and onion and cheese dripping out... omg i want one again now! The second visit i had the Mexican burrito and it was soo full of delicious steak i lost my mind... this is my go to place for Mexican seafod from now on...
Best steak nachos in town. Loved it!
I am going for the mocaljetes again. Food is amazing.
Great Fajitas and Drinks. The service is also pretty good. Stick to ordering what they're good at it and you'll love it.
I have probably been here nine times since the year started. On my first visit, I had Cajun fried fish and it was delicious! A good friend of mine recommended the shrimp empanadas to me and I've honestly ordered them every time I've ever visited since because they are so good. Recently, La Palma has incorporated a Thai food menu. I tried the house fried rice, and now.... I AM OBSESSED! Just this past weekend, I ordered both the Shrimp empanadas ( comes with flavored rice, avocado slices, tortilla chips, and light salad garnishing) AND the Thai House Fried Rice! It's great to be able to get both Mexican food and Thai food in the same place! I hope they experiment with fusion cuisine. Fusion restaurants are amazing in Washington DC and it would be great to have one here in Auburn. There is also an indoor bar, and outdoor patio with a bar and seating for those days we have great weather, and Salsa dancing after 7pm! The staff is always really friendly. Please go and enjoy!
Great food!
Excellent food and service.
Great food good staff
I love their food! The chicken fajita was amazing! The servers are extremely nice, prompt and attentive. I recommend La Palma!
This place is also known as Keo's and has great Thai food
I love the food here. The name has changed to Keos restaurant... But the menu remains the same. My favorite is the chicken wings. Not a flamboyant place but the food here is good as well as the service. I haven't had any complaints since I started eating from there.
Good food and awesome service. My server Richie was the absolute best!
Great food highly recommended the drunken noodles scratch that everything is good you wont be disappointed LOVE IT
They're a non-traditional Mexican seafood style restaurant. With that being said, it's still a very good place to eat. They offer ceviche instead of chips and salsa. Make sure you us the salsa picante on this dish.
First time visited during late lunch, waited for 20 min for fish filet. Restaurant wasn’t busy, there was two more tables finishing up meals. Found hair on my plate and fish wasn’t right, very salty and soggy ...
Decent prices, amazing service, and incredible food. We'll definitely be eating here again. We loved it!
Friendly customer service. You get a free shrimp tostada when you come in which I think it's awesome. If I lived nearby I would come here more often!
The appetizers Ceviche is amazing, but I kind of miss the traditional chips and salsa. Overall the quality of the food is pretty good if you're looking for Mexican style Seafood this is a place to go. Although the restaurant looks like an old-style Catena the outdoor seating provides a cozy atmosphere.
This restaurant is actually called KEO's . .Thai and Mexican (formerly La Palma). We had the Pad Thai for lunch. It was great. Ordered 2 soups to go. Owner (Keo) was very welcoming and friendly. Maggie, our server, was also great. We will definitely visit this restaurant again when we have a craving for Thai food. High recommend.
Great food and very nice people.Highly recommend.
The appetizer was delicious. A tostada with a fresh salsa and seafood topping. The salsa is perfect. Not spicy, not sweet. The tea wasn't a fresh brew, but the food made up for it. Only negative thing about the food was the lack of seasoning on the shrimp fajita. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant itself was very cozy.
They have awesome seafood and the wait staff are so friendly. I super recommend. Instead of chips, we were served a free Tostada de Ceviche de Pescado, so yummy!
I was not really impressed with this place. The drinks were not very strong at all. I debated whether or not my frozen margarita even had tequila in it. The food was alright, however do not order the desserts if you go. I ordered the fried ice cream and it was the smallest serving of fried ice cream that I've ever seen. If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant with stronger and better drinks as well as better food options you should probably go to Agave Loco or Larados.I will say that the staff here are super friendly and nice, definitely the good part about our trip to La Palma.
Seafood and Mexican food seems strange but it works. The set up is unique and outdoor seating has a beautiful setup.
Best authentic Mexican food in Auburn-Opelika, and the service is great.
Enjoyed the food, service, drinks and atmosphere. Recommended for anyone with a taste for Mexican seafood.
New ownership. Thai food menu. Tasty!
Quick and friendly service. Awesome food and decent price. Been there few times
My wife and I went to La Palma because we thought it was Salsa Dancing night. As it turns out it was last night. So when we were told that at the front door we decided to stay for dinner. We're glad we did. In lieu of the standard chips and salsa the waiter brought out a fish with Pico de Gallo on a round tortilla shell and side sauce. My wife is more adventurous than I so she tried it and loved it. I opted for standard fare. For entre I went with chicken fajitas. Good call on my part. Very tasty. Wife went straight for dessert - fried ice cream. Another winner. Prices were reasonable (barely over $20 including tip), service was fine and casual, laid back atmosphere.
Wow. Great. Very good flavor. Not your typical mexican flavor. So much better.
SUCH a great place. The owners are super nice, and the food is amazing. Definitely a hidden gem.
good!!
At lunch today, three of us agreed that the food we ordered was very good. The prices were reasonable, and service was prompt and friendly. Also, there's a pleasant outdoor area.
Now serving excellent Thai dishes.
Under new ownership They are expanding their menu with some Asian dishes. Like Thai and Vietnamese. I had the traditional Pho. It was spot on! So good. The best Pho I've had in the south..I can't wait for more delicious dishes to be added. The cooking is very authentic.. We haven't had a chance to try the Mexican food. But from the looks of it. It also looks very traditional and authentic. The service is very attentive. And very nice. The whole place is very welcoming like you're part of the family. We are so excited to have this new authentic Asian restaurant to go too now. Yummy!
Went to La Palma tonight with a friend that came from out of town. We sat at the bar for 10 minutes and then finally got menus. After we received the menus our server never came back to ask us for drinks or an order. Another server passed us and was more concerned with learning how to make a non- alcoholic margarita. I was really disappointed with the service because I was looking forward to trying their new thai cuisine. Definitely won’t be back.
Excellent thai food and the people is very nice
The food will overcome your expectations, a mix between Mexican and Thai food will become you a regular costumer. And the place offers also salsa dancing classes!!
Food looks better than it tastes . Im from Georgia and was just exploring my options while in town. I will not be returning. The waiters did not check on me and my company at all. Only took the orders and brought the food out. Horrible horrible horrible I don’t advise anyone to eat here I didn’t see any cars when I pulled in I should have turned around then.
The most charming gracious people. We'll see you soon
Good food, drinks, and service.
Cocktails and specials are unique and delicious. Really nice to find a Mexican place that stands out from the others.
Name should be changed!
Service terrible they got 2 menus food taste wasn't good I don't come back never again
Ridiculous experience. We had three people and ordered three noodle soups which took more than 1 hour. And we were told there were no any progress because the chief didn't know how to cook noodles?!!Then we leave. We will never come back again. So sucks.
They changed the name but I will never be going back I paid 29 bucks for two beers and there shots and the shots were fireball at 6.50 a shot yes I should have asked the price but fireball I thought this has to be the cheapest option. I now know some of the staff which were great but I will never go back
